Card acquiring for rentals: connecting the bank terminal to your CRM
Published
When the amount is typed into the terminal by hand and "paid by card" is marked in the CRM separately, mistakes follow: a wrong amount, a forgotten payment, a cash refund instead of a card one. Linking the terminal to the CRM removes the manual step.
What should work
- The amount goes to the terminal from the rental or order card
- A "Present the card" window with Cancel instead of a frozen program
- Cancelling a payment in the CRM refunds the card through the terminal
- End-of-day settlement
- RRN and authorization code are stored with the payment
Which terminals fit
Sberbank installs UPOS (sb_pilot); VTB, Gazprombank and many other banks install Ingenico ARCUS2. Both are command-line programs, so the CRM only needs the path to the bank's program. Other SDKs connect through a small module with an open protocol.
Before going live, run a test payment, refund and settlement on the real terminal: operation codes sometimes differ between bank builds.
