How to migrate rental data from Excel to CRM

Migration is not just copying rows. Before import, normalize phone formats, remove duplicates, agree on item types and set a balance reconciliation date.

A safe sequence

• Create an immutable copy of source files
• Clean reference data and duplicates
• Run a test import
• Verify a sample manually
• Move active rentals and balances
• Set a cutover date and owner

After launch, keep old spreadsheets read-only and enter every new operation in CRM. This prevents two competing sources of truth.
